Qaisar Ali is Professor at the Earthquake Engineering Center, Department of Civil Engineering University of Engineering & Technology Peshawar, Pakistan. He is consultant to various government and non-government national and international organizations on earthquake related issues. He is member of various professional bodies including a core group working on the Building Code of Pakistan. He has developed several manuals on seismically safe construction for individuals involved in the construction industry. He has more than 50 research publications and has delivered numerous lectures at various forums around the world. He has received the best University Teacher Award for the year 2007.
